Wow! Can you imagine this beautiful tree in your home this holiday season? Our own very talented Mr. Helms has donated and decorated this gorgeous tree for our Lake Joy PTO Christmas Tree Raffle. One lucky winner will have this fantastic tree delivered and set up in their home by Mr. Helms himself!

Raffle tickets are on sale NOW...$5.00 each or 3 for $10.00. The tree is on display now at Lake Joy Elementary in the center hallway, and the drawing will take place on November 30th. Raffle information was sent home in Wednesday folders November 9th. Please return the form to purchase your tickets, or stop by the Lake Joy office.

Back to School Open House!

Please join us Friday, July 29th from 4:00 - 6:00 for our Back to School Open House. Meet your child's teacher for the 2011 - 2012 school year, and stay for our annual Ice Cream Social following a brief PTO meeting at 6:00. Fall Festival!

Don't miss the 2nd annual Lake Joy Elementary Fall Festival Friday, October 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00!! Dress in your country best and enjoy lively music, food, hay rides, face painting, pig races and more! Admission is only $10.00 - that includes 2 slices of pizza, 1 drink, and 1 bag of popcorn. For $20.00 you get admission PLUS your own Bacon JR. racing pig! You may dress your pig up for our pig costume contest and enter your pig in pig races! All forms and payment must be received by Friday, October 16th!!! Additional forms are available in the school office. Hope to see you there!

Our Booster Campaign has come to an end, and the Lake Joy PTO is extremely grateful for the generous contributions from our LJE families and friends. 36% of our students brought in donations - and although we did not quite reach our goal, we raised just over $16,000.00 for our school!! Students who earned participation in the 3rd annual Pig Race will be notified this week. Many thanks again for your support!

Become a Booster and Launch Us Into Learning!

We are very excited to announce our 2009-2010 Lake Joy Booster Campaign!! This will be a flat donation fundraiser...that means NO product sales, and 100% of your gift stays at Lake Joy Elementary! Look for your Booster Campaign packet Wednesday, August 12th and turn in all donations by September 2nd. All families that contribute at one of our "rocket levels" will be recognized on our Booster Wall of Fame, and daily prizes will be awarded to students that turn in donations. Our goal is $20,000.00. Please become a LJE Booster - with your help our students can reach the stars!!

Back to School Ice Cream Social

We are offering grade specific school supply kits that will be labeled and waiting for your child on the first day of school! PTO MEETING

Please join us for the final PTO meeting of the school year! The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 19th at 6:00. We will review the year, enjoy a performance from our chorus, and have Officer Elections for the 2009-2010 year. Hope to see you then!!

PTO MEETING

Our next General Assembly PTO meeting is Thursday, March 12th at 6:00. We hope to see everyone there for a brief PTO meeting, followed by a presentation by Mrs. Campbell on CRCT success and a performance by the Jump Rope Team. See you Thursday evening!!

Father Daughter Dance

Our Father Daughter dance is set for Friday, January 6th from 6:00 - 8:00. Invitations have been sent home, but additional forms are in the office. The cost is $15.00 per couple, due by Monday, February 2nd. Please join us for a magical evening for our Lake Joy girls and their Dads! Music, food, fun, and door prizes!! See you there!

Cookie Dough Delivery!

Our Cookie Dough Shipment will arrive Tuesday, December 15th! Please plan to pick up your orders between 3:30 and 6:00 pm. All Cookie Dough must be picked up by 6:00! We only have a few hours before the dough must be placed in the freezer. See you Tuesday!

Are you ready for your holiday baking? Our Great American Cookie Dough Fundraiser kicks off Friday, November 14th. Catalogue packets will be sent home with your child. You will find 15 delicious flavors of frozen cookie dough in 3 pound tubs...these sell for $14.00 each and Lake Joy Elementary receives 40% of each sale. Share with family, friends, and co-workers. All orders are due Monday, December 1st...the day we come back to school after the Thanksgiving break. Cookie Dough will arrive before the Christmas break! Read your parent letter carefully for prize levels and incentives...and an explanation of our new donation option. Thank you for your continued support!!

PTO Meeting Thursday, November 6th

Please join us for our next General Assembly PTO meeting Thursday, November 6th at 6:00 in the cafeteria. We will have a brief meeting to review the budget and goals, explain the upcoming Cookie Dough fundraiser, and announce upcoming events. Calling All Men!

Lake Joy Elementary is looking for REAL MEN to volunteer their time on October 31st for our annual Men's Read In. We would love our school to be full of men all day long, reading to our kids! Dad, Granddads, Uncles, family friends...all men are welcome. Please plan to join us Friday, October 31st...for more information watch your child's agenda!
